It’s the very first time that Water Resources Planning Institute, WRA, MOEA collaborates with Taiwan ICDF to hold “2019 Workshop on Water Resources Management- Sustainable Reservoir”. In the opening ceremony today, Mr. Lee, Deputy Secretary-General of the International Cooperation and Development Fund and Dr. Chien-Hsin Lai, Director-General of the Water Resources Agency cohosted the workshop. The workshop lasting for two weeks (from September 18 to October 1) has attracted 30 experts form 17 countries including America, Africa, Europe and Asia. They are going to learn and exchange experiences on the topic of sustainable use of water resources.
The lecture topic today is “Adaptation Strategies for Sustainable Use of Water Resources Under Climate Change” which was delivered by Dr. Ching-Pin Tung, Professor, Department of Bioenvironmental Systems Engineering, National Taiwan University. The atmosphere was fantastic and all participants enjoyed communicating with each other, sharing Taiwan’s experiences of water resources. Finally, we wish that we can consistently make the progress on the issues of sustainable use of water resources.
