Water Resources Agency is now promoting the runoff allocation and outflow control policy, which is to change the concept of flood control from watercourses to integrated management in both land and water. Since the runoff allocation and outflow control is new to the public, this project holds several training courses and provides technical consultancy services for policy promoting.
The first step is building the consulting group of runoff allocation and outflow control. Group members are professional staffs from the Water Resource Agency and Water Resources Planning Institution. The group members provide consultancy services to solve problems relating to runoff allocation and outflow control for the public and private sectors. Telephone consultancy service is available during working hours, and online consultancy service is available all the time. Also, the consulting group visits sectors in need and provides face-to-face consultancy services.
Four education and training courses are held in New Taipei, Taichung, Kaohsiung, and Hualien city to assist case officers and engineers of the cases of the runoff allocation and outflow control. All the suggestions and problems would be collected and organized into different issues to amend the law in the future.
