With the progress of the times, the Water Resources Planning Institute has ushered in a brand-new logo design. Adopting the theme of the "stream" image, in this new logo, the "sluice gate" symbolizes the inexhaustible water resources that need to be carefully managed by human diligence, not to be wasted; the "scroll" represents the professional on-site investigation, planning and experimental design, in order to produce a "sustainable blueprint"; the "sapling" symbolizes the cultivation and development of water resources talents; and the "fish" not only serves as a homophone for "surplus", but also represents a commitment to the sustainable development of rivers, ecological environment and biodiversity.

The new logo represents the five departments of the Water Resources Planning Institute: technology development, water resources, rivers and seas, drainage, and experimental testing. It is hoped that water resources professionals will have an attitude of diversity, inclusiveness, professionalism, diligence and cooperation, inheriting past experience and wisdom, and continuing to contribute to the development of the country and society.

Since its establishment, the Water Resources Planning Institute has upheld the core values of "Professionalism, Innovation, and Sustainability", and has made remarkable contributions to Taiwan's water resources planning. These include planning visionary water resource policies, leading the R&D of cutting-edge water resource technologies, planning and testing major water resource projects, establishing a knowledge base to share all knowledge about water resources, and improving the core R&D competencies of employees. Just as the owl is seen as a symbol of wisdom, representing sagacity, composure and calmness, with excellent observation and insight. In the future, we will continue to lead Taiwan's water resources planning to a more innovative era.
