Showcasing Water Innovation Pilot Base Inauguration Ceremony

In order to encourage water industry manufacturers’ innovative technology, Water Resources Agency, MOEA establishes “Showcasing Water Innovation Pilot Base”. The base located in the high technology city Hsinchu provides an on-site performance testing platform for related water equipment industries to accumulate performance and technology upgrade. Based on the accumulated experience of on-site testing, we summarize the key problems in the operation and maintenance of each unit of equipment and solve the countermeasures, so as to guide the growth of the domestic industry and improve the technology to ensure operating efficiency.
Water Resources Planning Institute, WRA, MOEA takes charge of “Showcasing Water Innovation Pilot Base” execution. The base is focusing on scope such as smart sensing, water treatment and water energy for domestic companies. The entrance application form was announced on December 9, 2019. There were 8 excellent companies in Taiwan obtaining the permission to enter the pilot base after WRPI reviewing.
The ceremony was inaugurated at 2 pm on February 3rd. Dr. Chien-Hsin Lai (Director-General of WRA) hosted the inauguration(Fig.1 and Fig.2). More than 50 participants from government, universities and consulting companies attended the ceremony, including Japan Taiwan exchange association deputy representative Mr. Mitsuaki Hoshino.
