Changes in the Supervisor and Report Signatories of the Flow Meter Calibration Laboratory and TAF Supervision Evaluation

The Flow Meter Calibration Laboratory of our department is responsible for calibrating the cup-type flow meters used by the Water Resources Agency, Ministry of Economic Affairs, and its affiliated units. The laboratory established its electric calibration trolley in 1976 and transitioned to a wireless calibration trolley after 2001. The Flow Meter Calibration Laboratory (certification number: 1707) is designed and operated according to ISO/IEC 17025 and CNS 17025:2018 international standards. It initially received accreditation from the Taiwan Accreditation Foundation (TAF) on February 16, 2007, and has since passed its fifth extension of accreditation. The calibration range is from 0.3 to 6 m/sec.

Due to the retirement of the former laboratory supervisor, Engineer Wang Shun-Chang, we have submitted a request for a personnel change with TAF. On July 17, 2024, the TAF evaluation committee assessed the qualifications and capabilities of the relevant staff. The new laboratory supervisor is Researcher Lin Zhi-Han from our department. The report signatories now include the new laboratory supervisor, Quality Supervisor Engineer Peng Maosong, and Technical Supervisor Engineer Wong Wei-Ming. This personnel change has passed the supervisory evaluation, and the updated certification certificate (certificate number: L1707-240810) has been obtained.
