The top priority of the geoscience laboratory and the Niaozueitan Artificial Lake on-site laboratory of the WRPI is to carry out the quality inspection of earthworks.
The Niaozueitan Artificial Lake project (in progress) is an essential part of the forward-looking infrastructure which can improve the water supply stability in Nantou County and reduce the land subsidence in the coastal area of Changhua County.
The WRPI has devoted the workforce and equipment to set up an on-site laboratory to provide fair and professional testing services.
The WRPI submit a new application to the TAF and schedule an on-site assessment in late August to renew the accreditation. The application of TAF accreditation is to assure the laboratories' compliance with stringent performance standards (CNS, ASTM, and USBR), required construction specifications, and the new version of the ISO 17025 Quality Management System.
The TAF's specialists, Han Mingxian and Zhang Zhenmin conducted on-site assessments, including on-site testing evaluation, personnel interviews, quality documentation review, discussions, and review meetings. The on-site assessments affirmed the high quality of the laboratory testing service and their quality documentation.
After the TAF accreditation of the laboratory is recognized and accepted.
The laboratories of the WRPI will steadily provide a solid basis for supporting significant water projects with a sound quality assurance system with more excellent reliability of testing, more efficient operation, and increased ability to respond to testing problems.
