The accredited laboratory established since October 25th, 2006. The laboratory has several remarkable contributions on construction quality inspection of major domestic water resources development projects, include the Hushan Reservoir Project, the Jhongjhung Artificial Lake, and the Baihe Reservoir improvement project.

In addition to the entrusted planning projects, we also contributed to construction quality management (such as the Naio-Zuei-Tan Artificial Lake).

The current focus concern of the laboratory is to maintain the operation of the prime laboratory, following the quality and technical requirements of the TAF (Taiwan Accreditation Foundation) certification, and to prepare contribution for the future water resources project.

Major business

Owing to the organization adjustment, the Geotechnical Engineering Laboratory applied to the TAF for laboratory relocation since 2017 (the former office of the River Planning section) to keep conducting various geotechnical engineering tests. The laboratory activities include management, review, internal audit, proficiency testing, uncertainty measurement, infrequent execution of tests, personnel education and training, etc., all following the ISO17025 international standard requirements. We also conduct laboratory tests for other entrusted plans. The Geotechnical Engineering Laboratory shown in Figure 1, Instruments and equipment shown in Figure 2
